James Clavell (10 October 1921 – 6 September 1994),
conceived Charles Edmund Dumaresq Clavell, was an Australian-conceived British (later naturalized American) writer, screenwriter, chief, and World War II veteran and POW. Clavell is known best for his The Asian Saga arrangement of books and their broadcast adjustments. Clavell was a screenwriter for films as The Great Escape (1963) and To Sir, with Love (1967). He additionally composed a scene of an early sci-fi TV arrangement 'Men Into Space' amid 1959, titled 'First Woman on the Moon'.
